Twitter is going MIC doolaly today with hardcore fans begging the producers to release series 2 dates.....we've even been stalking the cast's tweets to hunt for clues- what has happened to the world?!

There's only one thing for it! We are heading to the MIC cast and crew's favourite restaurant- SO Japanese (as featured on the show!) to see if we can spot the "stars" and pick up some exclusives! We think you should all join us!

Bon Appetit!

Ah, it must be Wimbledon week! The heavens have opened just in time for HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla to take her seat at centre court. Also spotted court side today tucking into their Pimms and strawberries and cream is comedienne Jennifer Saunders and new knight, Sir Bruce Forsyth!

Luckily for us Tesco have answered our Wimbledon prayers and created the first ever strawberries and cream sarny! With 435 calories, this crazy creation has got us all in a tizz- will lunch time ever be the same again?

Made with sliced British strawberries, Cornish clotted cream and strawberry jam, served on two pieces of white poppy seed bread, it sounds completely insane but too indulgent not to try. So who's with us?

Kathy Beth Terry, we love you!

Wearing a huge brace and a massive pair of glasses, as well as a super untrendy denim catsuit and pink polo neck, Katy Perry is taking the mickey to a new level on her latest video Last Friday Night (TGIF).
She stars as alter-ego Kathy Beth Terry, a geeky 13 year old with a passion for the solar system, science fairs and Sudoku puzzles.
Any Glee fans out there will love the surprise appearance from fellow geek Kevin Mchale, aka Artie, and remember those MmmmmmBopping Hanson boys from the 90's?? They star too and they're all grown up!

Check out the video!

Here Come the Girls...

Kettner’s new flagship event, teasingly called ‘Coquette’, is fast becoming the talk of the town. This coming Saturday (18th June) will witness another afternoon of girly indulgence, pampering and vintage style at the iconic Soho restaurant and champagne bar.

This latest event has attracted another big name in the shape of hot new Argentinean-born designer Verónica Moncho Lobo. Verónica will be bringing along a collection of her drop dead gorgeous cocktail dresses and there will be plenty of opportunities for dress up and retail therapy!

Also on the packed itinerary are manicures from Nails Inc, a pop up store featuring The Lingerie Collective, amazing makeovers from Benefit Cosmetics and retro hairdos from Lipstick and Curl. There will also be a chance to win a £2,500 photo shoot with renowned photographer Bruce Smith.

With so much going on, a girl will need to keep up her strength. Luckily Coquette will be laying on a fab spread of sandwiches, cakes and deliciously decadent Gu chocolate puds, all washed down with lashings of bubbly.

We can’t wait to see the pictures!

Sunday lunch with a twist

As one of the Evening Standard’s 1000 most influential Londoners of 2011, Kerstin Rodgers – aka food blogger and underground restaurant pioneer Ms Marmite Lover - is used to creating a bit of a stir. Which should come in pretty handy when she serves her ´Compleat Menu’ at Blacks Club on Sunday 26th June.

The hostess with the mostess is the latest in a group of illustrious foodies, Rose Prince, Tom Parker Bowles and Bill Knott included, who have spent the last few months helping Blacks’ owner Giuseppe Mascoli rebrand the traditional Sunday lunch.

Having opened her own restaurant - in her Kilburn living room - Kerstin now brings her culinary skills to the kitchens of one of Soho’s finest Georgian townhouses. And what could be a more fitting setting for an 18th century menu, devised in conjunction with renowned historian Lucy Inglis?

On the Compleat Menu will be such authentic fare as Vegetable Fritters (young gentlemen of the period were rather partial to cooking these on their fireplaces), Stargazy Pie with Hot Water Crust and Meringue with Salted Caramel and Black Pepper Strawberries

Tickets are priced at £35 (excluding wine). To make a booking, call 020 7734 5399 or email moira@blacksclub.com

We’ll see you there…

The garden party to end all garden parties…

Whilst most of us were sat at home watching EastEnders last night, our very own Emanuele Barrasso and Thomas Wright were attending the exclusive launch party for this year’s Concours D'Elegance at London's Hurlingham Club. There they mingled with the great and the good, sipped champagne and checked out some pretty impressive motors - a £10 million Ferrari once raced by the legendary Fangio among them.

Taking place in London between 27 and 29 July 2011, the Concours D'Elegance is an occasion not to be missed on the summer social calendar. Showcasing some of the world’s most exclusive luxury brands, this invitation-only event brings together fabulous designer clothing, exclusive properties, jewellery, yachts and aviation as well as gorgeous vintage, classic and super cars. Plenty to keep sir or madam entertained!

Now, how do we bag ourselves an invite…?

Head Chef at Tempo to receive amazing culinary award

Tempo Restaurant’s very own Head Chef, Yoshi Yamada, is to receive the Italian Culinary Master Chef Award from the prestigious Academia Barilla at a glittering ceremony in Italy tomorrow.

And it looks like Yoshi will be in great company as the only other UK chef among the 10 being honoured is none other than Gordon Ramsay’s former protégée, Angela Hartnett MBE.

The award recognises skilled chefs living abroad who have succeeded in creating the most exceptional and authentic Italian cuisine. Needless to say, we’re not talking about spag bol here – Yoshi's signature dishes include such scrummy sounding affairs as Taglioni with Crab, Dill and Lime and Grilled Veal Chop, Spunta Potatoes & Peperonata!

We can’t think of a more deserving winner.

Congratulazioni Yoshi! Bravo!
